Im DONE.

Finished all my exams today. The first two went really well. My Italian professor was impressed with my improvement (I finally used the subjunctive right!), and I gave a great “argument” for my art history oral. The last one, however, was a disaster. I’m in this oral exam for my EU class and its just not going well at all. One of those situations where he’s waiting for one word in particular, and I’m just saying every other word in the dictionary. I’m starting to get kinda frustrated cause I’m a government major and I'm not stupid and the questions are so basic.
Then he tells me to just give up on Italian and speak English…strike one. Then he starts drawing diagrams on the sheet of paper and is re-lecturing …strike two. Now I’m really flustered cause I get what he saying, I've been trying to say those things the whole time! I’m petrified that he thinks I'm re-learning it all and just stupid. Then he gives me a chance to redeem myself, but essentially insults me in the process. “Why don’t you just tell me something you liked learning about this semester?” (STRIKE THREE ALLISON.) Great. Super. This professor has just made me feel like I'm in kindergarten again. I give a great answer. I show that I actually have intelligent things to say and that I actually did listen in class and study. He cuts me off after a few minutes and he writes a letter grade on the sheet of paper. A good grade. A pity grade as far as I’m concerned. Va bene? (Is this ok he ask?) Sure. I leave the room mortified.
I'm frustrated, disappointed, and my prides a little bruised.
